Kodai Typeface specimen from 6TM Magazine

A single-weight display typeface by Sinuhé Cid that translates handwritten energy into sharp, angular letterforms set on a strong italic axis.

About

Designed by Sinuhé Cid, Kodai takes the gestural rhythm of handwriting and refines it into a bold, angular display face with contrasting strokes and a pronounced forward lean. The 231-glyph Latin European character set covers diacritics, ligatures, currency and mathematical symbols, making it reasonably complete for its intended uses. It suits headline work, editorial layouts and visual identity projects where momentum and personality are the priority.

Classification

Kodai is explicitly a display typeface built on an italic axis with handwritten influences translated into angular, high-contrast letterforms, placing it firmly in the display category with script-derived characteristics.
