Remnants specimen from A Practice for Everyday Life

A condensed display serif drawn from lettering found on an old Serbian book cover, expanded into a full Latin character set with elongated monoline serifs.

About

Originating from a display type found on a Serbian book cover, the design was built out into a complete Latin character set while preserving something of the visual character of Cyrillic letterforms. The elongated monoline serifs give it a distinctive, slightly archaic elegance suited to larger sizes. It has been used in record sleeve design and cultural institution merchandise, suggesting a natural fit for arts and editorial contexts.

Classification

Derived from Cyrillic letterforms found on an old Serbian book cover, expanded into a Latin character set with elongated monoline serifs. Its condensed proportions and ornamental quality place it firmly in the display category.
