About
Part of a large interconnected type system designed for The Independent's print and digital editions, the Text Stencil subfamily applies stencil cuts across five weights from Light to Black, each with a matching italic. The wider family received a D&AD Yellow Pencil in 2014 and the Typeface Design prize at the Tokyo TDC in 2015. The stencil variants were added later to extend the family's range of applications beyond core editorial use.
