New Grotesk Square

Seven condensed grotesque cuts drawn from historical wood type specimens, organised by increasing width from ONE to SEVEN.
About
Drawn from A2-Type's archive of letterpress wood type and printed ephemera, the family sequences seven fonts by width rather than weight, each sharing unified proportions across the range. The square-cornered forms give it a crisp, mechanical character suited to posters, headlines and identity work. A companion family, New Grotesk Round, offers the same system with softened terminals.
Classification
A suite of condensed grotesque display fonts drawn from wood type references, organised by width rather than weight. Its display-oriented proportions and wood type heritage place it firmly in the display category.
