Part of a five-subfamily type system commissioned for the Irish Independent, Nuacht Serif Text covers Regular through Bold with matching italics, intended for sustained reading in a broadsheet environment. Its forms draw on calligraphic ink lettering and early metal type references, giving it warmth without sacrificing the economy required at column widths. Variable font versions are available on request, and the full system extends to a headline serif, a humanist sans, and two condensed cuts for sports and infographics.
