The sans-serif arm of a bespoke type system commissioned by Weekendavisen, a Danish weekly broadsheet with roots tracing to 1749, awarded World's Best Designed Newspaper in 2021 and 2026.
About
Designed as part of a four-subfamily system for Weekendavisen alongside WEA Text, WEA Display and WEA Hairline, the Sans runs across nine weights from Thin to Black with matching italics and extends into Condensed and X Condensed cuts. The full system won the Tokyo TDC Award in 2021 and the newspaper's redesign has been recognised twice by the Society for News Design as the world's best designed paper. Suited to print and screen across UI, headline and body roles.
