About
Designed by John Morgan and Adrien Vasquez between 2017 and 2022, Persona traces its lineage to Hans Möhring's Florida (c.1931) and the littera antiqua of early Renaissance Florence, a style distinguished by tapered strokes and wedge-shaped terminals rather than conventional serifs. The Regular and Medium retain Florida's monoline bowls and asymmetric forms, while the Bold moves closer to Cassandre's Peignot, dispensing with the flared terminals. Each of the three styles includes three sets of capitals at differing heights, designed to be combined in the manner of inscriptional texts.

A display-only uppercase sans inspired by Renaissance Florentine letterforms and Hans Möhring's Florida (c.1931), characterised by flared terminals, tapered strokes and wedge-shaped endings rather than traditional serifs or a conventional grotesque structure.
