sans-serifexperimental sans
Epoxy specimen from Balto / Type Supply

An R&D sans-serif from Type Supply built around the challenge of designing a typeface that works against its own construction, optimised for small text sizes.

About

Released in beta in March 2022 as part of Type Supply's R&D programme, Epoxy is a six-weight sans-serif conceived around the idea of a typeface designed not to work, yet performing well at both small and large sizes. The character set is intentionally minimal, covering basic Latin, numerals and essential punctuation only. Italics are listed as a planned next step with no confirmed timeline.

Classification

Epoxy is a sans-serif designed with intentional legibility constraints for small text use, placing it in an experimental subcategory that tests the limits of readability at small optical sizes.
