Hopeless Diamond specimen from Barnbrook

Three-style display family drawn from the faceted geometry of stealth aircraft and 19th century carved lettering, with italics and alternate character sets throughout.

About

The letterforms take their dimensional, angular structure from the B-2 Spirit and F-117 Nighthawk stealth aircraft, reinterpreted through the tradition of 19th century carved type. Three styles each include an italic and an alternate character set, offering a wide range of combinable permutations. The name comes from the sardonic nickname test pilots gave an early F-117 prototype, whose radical departure from aerodynamic convention they called the Hopeless Diamond.

Classification

A display typeface with angular, faceted letterforms derived from stealth aircraft geometry and 19th century carved lettering, placing it firmly in the display category with a geometric and dimensional character.
