Priori Acute

A display typeface from the Priori family that uses Escher-inspired optical illusions to create letterforms that shift and distort at larger sizes.
About
Part of Barnbrook's Priori series, which explores shared core character shapes across different stylistic treatments. Priori Acute introduces incongruous perspectives and self-folding shapes drawn from the spatial paradoxes of M.C. Escher's work. At small sizes the letterforms read conventionally, but scaled up for headlines, initial caps or logotypes, the characters begin to confuse and trick the eye in ways that reward closer inspection.
Classification
Priori Acute is a display typeface with deliberately distorted, illusionistic letterforms inspired by M.C. Escher; its shifting perspectives and self-folding shapes make it unsuitable for text and firmly in the decorative display category.
