Drawing on Vincent Figgins's 1815 Antique as its historical touchstone, Regime takes the industrial-era slab serif and redraws it with contemporary detailing and a set of alternate characters. The weight range stretches from Light through to Ultra, the heaviest being a direct nod to the oversize woodblock types of 19th-century poster printing. The name references Britain's rise as an imperial power at the moment the slab serif form first appeared.
