Rube specimen from Big Fog Foundry

A unicase, single-weight display face with blocky, nearly square letterforms suited to logotypes, packaging and comic-inflected headline work.

About

Designed by Brian Dove and released in April 2025, it comes in one chonky style with forms that sit somewhere between a rubber stamp and a cartoon prop. The unicase design collapses the distinction between capitals and lowercase into a single unified register, making it well-suited to stacked wordmarks, candy packaging and onomatopoeic sound-effect text. Latin Extended coverage supports a broad range of Western European languages.

Classification

A single-weight unicase display face with chunky, nearly square letterforms designed explicitly for large-scale, short-burst settings such as logotypes and packaging. Its exaggerated, cartoon-inflected forms place it firmly in the display category with no conventional uppercase/lowercase distinction.
