sans-serifgrotesqueitalic
Korpus Grotesk specimen from Binnenland

A sans-serif companion to the Binnenland serif typeface Korpus, translating its proportions and rhythm into a grotesque with four named weights and matching italics.

About

Developed as a direct continuation of Korpus, the design interprets phototype exposure characteristics from offset printing rather than the hot-metal references that inform its serif counterpart. Four weights run from A through D, each with an italic, and the family includes an extensive Latin Extended-A character set covering over forty European languages. OpenType features include small caps, proportional oldstyle figures, tabular figures, fractions, superior and inferior numerals, and a stylistic set offering alternate single-storey forms for 'a' and 'g'.

Classification

A sans-serif grotesque developed as a companion to the serif typeface Korpus, retaining its proportions and rhythm while interpreting phototype exposure characteristics from offset printing.
