Aubusson
Black Foundry · Franck Jalleau

A monospaced humanist sans by Franck Jalleau, its fixed-width rhythm drawn from the grid-like structure of Aubusson tapestry weaving.
About
Designed by Franck Jalleau and refined by Black Foundry, it applies the regular interlocking geometry of French tapestry weaving to a monospaced humanist sans. Calligraphic warmth in the stroke modulation softens what could otherwise feel austere, making it readable at small text sizes as well as expressive at display scale. The family ships with variable fonts across Light to Black, matching italics, small capitals, oldstyle figures and a set of arrow ligatures via stylistic sets.
Classification
Explicitly described as a monospaced humanist sans serif; the fixed-width structure is central to the concept, drawing on the grid-like geometry of woven textiles while retaining calligraphic warmth in the letterforms.
