Rooted in the utilitarian gothics of 19th-century America, it takes the Keystone Type Foundry's Gothic №2 as its departure point and updates it with a suite of twelve stylistic sets covering alternate forms for characters including 'a', 'g', 'R', 'Q' and 't'. Eight static weights run from Hairline to Poster, with a variable font included free alongside any purchase. The family is aimed at editorial, branding and UI work where a clean, historically grounded grotesque is needed.
Classification
Inspired by Gothic №2 from the Keystone Type Foundry, Numero 02 follows the American 19th-century grotesque tradition of utilitarian, unornamented sans serifs with simple geometric forms.
