A deliberately neutral neo-grotesque text face by Daniel Sabino, designed to extrapolate the systematisation of Helvetica and Univers toward near-mechanical consistency.

Elza Text is the text-optimised optical size of the broader Elza family, which spans three widths and 58 fonts in total. Curves on round letters incorporate small straight segments to unify normal and condensed widths, producing a squarish, rational appearance more mechanised than Helvetica itself. The family ships in five weights with oblique companions rather than true italics, a variable font with weight, slant and width axes, and around 900 glyphs per style including small caps and old-style figures.
