Where most script typefaces rely on fluid curves and decorative swashes, Haltrix takes the opposing position: every letterform is constructed to maximise angularity and minimise curves, producing a script with an aggressive, handwritten edge. The single Regular style uses OpenType Contextual Alternates to maintain natural connections between letters, supplemented by several alternates and swashes. The designer cites Gabriel Martínez Meave's Arcana and Roger Excoffon's Mistral as peers, placing it within a tradition of expressive, personality-driven scripts that resist elegance in favour of character.
