Ofelia Display
Blackletra · Daniel Sabino · 2016

A geometric sans-serif optimised for display use, balancing a rigid underlying structure with gestural details on select letterforms.
About
Designed by Daniel Sabino and released in 2016, Ofelia Display is the larger optical size of a two-part family that also includes Ofelia Text. Fourteen styles span seven weights from Thin to Extrabold with matching italics, and the fonts include small caps, old-style and tabular figures, and alternates for /a and /l. The gestural quality of characters like /a, /f and the comma prevents the geometric framework from feeling cold or mechanical.
Classification
Described by the foundry as a geometric sans-serif; its rigid geometric structure is softened by gestural letterforms on characters such as /a, /f and the comma.
