Apoc JP specimen from Blaze Type

A Latin and Japanese Kana extension of the Apoc family, adding Hiragana and Katakana support with both horizontal and vertical writing modes across six variable weights.

About

Originally released in 2018 and updated through 2022, the Apoc family is now extended by Caio Kondo's Kana drawings to cover Hiragana and Katakana alongside the existing Latin, Cyrillic and Greek. The sharp, angular character set runs from Hairline to Dark as a variable font, and the vertical writing support makes it usable in Japanese layout conventions. Suited to display work where a consistent aggressive register is wanted across scripts.

Classification

A sharp, high-contrast expressive display family designed explicitly for bold headline use, with a dramatic angular character set spanning Latin, Hiragana and Katakana.
