Armag specimen from Blaze Type

A two-style display serif by Matthieu Salvaggio drawing on early 20th-century hand lettering, with pointed aggressive terminals set against generous organic forms.

About

Armag comes in just two styles, Fury and Fury Italic, built around hand-drawn letterforms from the early 20th century. The combination of sharp, horn-like endings and open organic counters gives the face a faintly biblical or occult quality that lends itself to album art, editorial headers and brand identities with a dark or historical register. A wider family with additional weights, widths and alternates is noted as in development.

Classification

Inspired by early 20th century hand drawing with aggressive pointed terminals and organic shapes, Armag sits firmly in display serif territory, unsuited to running text but distinctive at large sizes.
