Osmose specimen from Blaze Type

A neoclassical grotesque with geometric underpinnings from Blaze Type, distinguished by wider capitals and cursive-influenced punctuation.

About

Designed by Matthieu Salvaggio and Léon Hugues and released in 2021, the family runs five weights from Ultra Light to Bold, each with an italic, and is also available as a variable font. Wide capital forms and consistent side bearings across all styles give it an even, unhurried texture suited to editorial and cultural identity work. Cursive-inspired punctuation breaks the regularity without disrupting the overall geometric logic.

Classification

Described by the foundry as a neoclassical grotesk with geometric sans-serif features, combining matching H-height and ascenders characteristic of geometric design with grotesque warmth and cursive-inspired punctuation details.
