Sature specimen from Blaze Type

A display sans by Nicolas Dupuis derived from hand-drawn large-print lettering, built around horizontal expansion to create a saturating, felt-tip marker quality at large sizes.

About

Designed from paper-drawn lettering, Sature is built on horizontal processing that gives each letterform a dense, expansive fullness particularly legible at display scale. Five weights from ExtraLight to ExtraBold each carry a matching italic, and the variable font allows weight transitions that produce a doubling effect between styles. The name comes from the French "saturer", and the family is intended to be used at excess, pushing layouts toward maximum visual density.

Classification

Derived from hand-drawn large-print lettering with a distinctive horizontal expansion that gives letters visible fullness; best suited to display use at large sizes rather than continuous text.
