Knapp specimen from Bloom Type

A workhorse sans in seven weights with matching italics and a variable font, designed by Baptiste Guesnon as the functional counterpart to Knopp.

About

Started as a simplified branch of Knopp's design, Knapp has grown into its own family while retaining the organic spirit of its parent. Fourteen static styles span Light to Heavy with full italic coverage, alongside a variable font with weight and italic axes. The family includes a thorough set of OpenType features including fractions, tabular figures, standard and discretionary ligatures, and a stylistic alternate for the round 'a'.

Classification

Described as a workhorse companion to Knopp with organic and lively character, suggesting a humanist approach to the sans-serif form rather than a strictly geometric or grotesque construction.
