Aniek specimen from Bold Monday

A seven-weight casual script by Pieter van Rosmalen, drawn from a former girlfriend's handwriting and distinguished by a slight leftward slant.

About

Monolinear strokes and rounded terminals give Aniek the character of writing with a soft felt-tip pen, while deliberate regularisation of proportions and spacing makes it legible enough for longer passages of body text. Unlike most script typefaces, it leans slightly to the left, lending it an unhurried, conversational quality. Seven weights from Light to Black cover Latin Extended, supporting the majority of European languages.

Classification

Aniek is a monolinear, non-connecting script drawn to evoke felt-tip handwriting, with a slight leftward slant distinguishing it from conventional right-leaning scripts. Its even rhythm and regularised proportions place it in the casual handwriting genre rather than formal calligraphic scripts.
