Jurriaan 3D
Bold Monday · Pieter van Rosmalen · 2023

A four-variant layered display face by Pieter van Rosmalen that applies drop shadows, hatching and ribbed shading to compact angular letterforms rooted in Jurriaan Schrofer's 1969 geometry.
About
Combining Schrofer's 1969 typographic experiments with van Rosmalen's own Capibara, the typeface explores three-dimensional illusion across four styles: Dark fills surrounding space with a severe drop shadow, Ribbed breaks the shade into five lined layers, Shaded mixes hatching with hard shadow for tonal variation, and Fill acts as a base layer for colour combinations with the others. Despite its obvious affinity for poster-scale work, it carries a full OpenType feature set including proper fractions, ordinals, superscripts and inferiors, with wide Latin language coverage.
Classification
A strictly angular, geometric display face built around perspective and three-dimensional illusion across four layered style variants; unambiguously a display typeface designed for large-scale applications.
