BS Resort Classic specimen from Bolid System

A sans serif with Didone-level vertical contrast designed by Arthur Schwarz, spanning ten weights each with a 13° italic and a 26° super italic.

About

Rather than reviving or referencing a historical model, Arthur Schwarz built BS Resort Classic as an artificial invention: a neo-grotesque skeleton carrying the dramatic stroke contrast normally reserved for Didone serifs. Details such as the forward-leaning S and the exaggerated upper stroke of the f introduce deliberate disruptions to grotesque convention. The 30-style family includes a full set of alternates for a, g, l and t, rounded punctuation variants, and a two-axis variable font covering weight and slant.

Classification

A deliberate hybrid: neo-grotesque structure with Didone-level vertical contrast, making it neither a pure sans nor a serif revival but a display-oriented invention that sits closest to the high-contrast sans subcategory.
