A contemporary humanist sans that blends Johnston and Gill Sans references with neo-grotesque proportions across seven weights.
About
Drawing on early twentieth-century British humanist typefaces including Johnston Sans and Gill Sans, as well as Super Grotesk and Futura, BST Ritma rejects classical monumental capital proportions in favour of neo-grotesque width principles. The result is a wide-bodied, even-textured family with a balanced x-height and dynamic rhythm across seven weights from Thin to Bold. Partner italics and a monospace sister family are listed as forthcoming.
Classification
Explicitly described as a contemporary humanist sans serif drawing on Johnston Sans, Gill Sans, Super Grotesk and Futura, with neo-grotesque design principles overlaid on a humanist structure.
