About
Designed with a zero-bullshit attitude and an explicitly New York sensibility, Brik pairs hard angles and chunky corners against subtle curves and strokes that keep it from becoming purely mechanical. The 2020 revision expanded glyph support to 380 characters covering 100-plus languages, rebuilt the kerning from scratch and redrew several letterforms. Twenty static styles span upright and oblique in both regular and condensed proportions, with a variable font adding weight, slant and width axes.
Classification
A display sans built on a deliberately brick-like geometric construction with hard angles, chunky corners and exaggerated ink traps. The condensed and oblique sub-families extend the system. Substantially revised in 2020–21 with redrawn letters, new kerning and expanded glyph support.
