Anto Plot Mono
b•v-h type · André Baldinger & Toan Vu-Huu · 2022

A geometric monospaced family in four weights, spun out of the Anto Plot sans conceived for French cultural institutions in 2017.
About
Designed by André Baldinger and Toan Vu-Huu, Anto Plot Mono takes the angular, early-grotesque proportions of the broader Anto Plot family and applies them to a fixed-pitch format across Light, Regular, Medium and Bold. The family originated as an institutional identity proposal for Bétonsalon in Paris and draws formal inspiration from Monotype Grotesque Bold Extended. With 801 glyphs per style and extensive OpenType features including multiple figure sets, circled and framed numbers, and several stylistic alternates, it carries enough typographic rigour for demanding editorial and cultural contexts.
Classification
A monospaced variant of the angular geometric Anto Plot family, derived from early grotesque proportions and drawn with deliberate geometric rigidity rather than humanist warmth.
