A geometric display family by André Baldinger, constructed from the structural angles and proportions of the Eiffel Tower, originally developed for a signage pitch for the tower itself.
About
Designed in 2004 and released in 2022, the family was commissioned through Intégral Ruedi Baur for an Eiffel Tower signage project requiring both large display and text variants. The design language draws not from the tower's silhouette but from its engineering: squares, double squares and struts at six fixed angles govern every letterform. Six styles range from the extreme Level Air — among the world's thinnest strokes at 1 unit — through numbered levels to -02, with 602 glyphs per roman style and OpenType features including circled and framed numbers.
