Lelo specimen from Camelot

A geometric sans with typewriter heritage, designed by Katharina Köhler, distinguished by pointed terminals in diagonal letters set against otherwise circular forms.

About

Designed by Katharina Köhler, Lelo draws on early 20th century grotesques while retaining traces of its origins in a quattro-spaced typewriter font, with Letter Gothic cited as a direct influence. The tension between the sharply pointed endings on V, W, N and M and the broadly circular geometry of other letters gives the family a distinctive internal contrast. Six weights run from Thin to Black with matching italics, and a monospaced variant, Lelo Mono, extends its utility to coding and tabular contexts.

Classification

Described explicitly as a geometric sans serif with roots in early 20th century grotesques, influenced by Letter Gothic's typewriter origins, giving it a geometric-grotesque hybrid character.
