Originally drawn from the words 'BUENOS AIRES' spotted on a 1930s postcard stamp, the design began as an uppercase-only free font before growing into a full Pro release with lowercase letters and an italic. The expansion into lowercase was driven by requests from Spanish-speaking users, and the additional italic style adds expressive movement without abandoning the clean, idiosyncratic character of the originals. Two styles are supported across Western and Central European encodings, with a modest set of OpenType features including stylistic sets and fractions.
