CA Fourty Open
Cape Arcona · Thomas Schostok

A single-weight, all-caps display face built around a double-outline structure that evokes neon signage, arriving after 40 design iterations.
About
Thomas Schostok developed this typeface through 40 attempts to nail a neon-sign aesthetic, landing on a double-outline construction that gives letterforms a strong, open quality suited to headlines. Although it is an all-caps design, the uppercase and lowercase characters differ in openness, adding subtle rhythm. It shares a base with CA BND and pairs well with the double-lined script CA Capoli, and supports Western and Central European character sets across 365 glyphs.
Classification
An all-caps neon-sign-style display face with a double-outline construction, designed explicitly for headlines rather than text use. The foundry classifies it as Display.
