Cape Arcona · Thomas Schostok

A two-style vintage script family by Thomas Schostok, drawn from a selective remix of American 1950s lettering forms rather than any single historical source.
About
Rather than reviving one period typeface, Thomas Schostok pulled the most distinctive letter forms from 1950s American lettering and merged them into a single family. The Regular style carries a polished, hand-lettered quality, while the Raw variant simulates the look of poorly printed type for added texture and age. OpenType features include underlining swashes, stylistic and contextual alternates, discretionary ligatures and ornaments, making it well suited to logotypes, headlines and poster work.
Classification
Classified as Script by the foundry; drawn from American 1950s lettering traditions with a distressed variant, placing it firmly in the decorative vintage script category.
