About
Stefan Claudius took the visual inconsistency of a Cuban wall-writing and turned it into a governing system: round characters such as O, U and C carry either a fat or thin stroke, while characters with orthogonal lines switch between two distinct styles. Uppercase letters stress the vertical; lowercase stress the horizontal. The result is a typeface where stylistic variation is baked into the glyph set rather than applied after the fact, supported by stylistic sets and alternates via OpenType.
