CA Yoshiro Pixel specimen from Cape Arcona

A pixel-grid display family in three rendering styles — clean, blurred and dot-matrix — designed for retro-tech and sci-fi aesthetics.

About

Built from pixel grids, CA Yoshiro Pixel extends the spirit of Cape Arcona's CA Yoshiro into three distinct subfamilies: the crisp Pixel, the thermally smeared Pixel Blur, and the dot-matrix Pixel Round. Each subfamily comes in Normal and Wide widths with Regular and Bold weights, totalling 12 styles, and the glyph set of over 1,000 characters covers Latin Extended, Cyrillic, Greek and Vietnamese. Aimed at game graphics, glitch art and futuristic branding, the family includes stylistic sets, contextual alternates and discretionary ligatures for expressive typesetting.

Classification

The foundry classifies it as Display Techno; the typeface is built entirely from pixel grids with three distinct rendering styles (clean pixel, blur, round dot-matrix), placing it firmly in the display techno category.
