Capitalics · Mateusz Machalski

A variable display typeface built on four morphing masters, drawing on Armin Hoffmann's grid research to produce letterforms that shift between geometric and expressive states.
About
Built from four compatible masters on a geometric, modular base, the family uses variable font interpolation to transform each letter across states named Focused, Hyperactive, Impulsive and Distracted. The system is designed for dynamic visual identities where type is expected to move or adapt rather than sit static. Conceived under the creative direction of Mateusz Machalski with a team of collaborators at Capitalics.
Classification
A modular, geometric variable typeface built on four masters that morph between states; its expressive interpolation and dynamic grid construction place it firmly in the display category.
