Alfabet specimen from Capitalics

A geometric sans-serif spanning 10 weights with matching italics, designed for multiscript branding with Latin, Greek and Cyrillic support.

About

Built over three years by Mateusz Machalski of Capitalics, Alfabet draws on Swiss and German typographic thinking to produce a sans-serif with a clean, rational character. The full family runs across 10 weights from Hairline to Black, each with a matching italic, and covers Latin (including Vietnamese), Greek and Cyrillic scripts with localised forms for Ukrainian, Bulgarian and Serbian. Beyond the broad character set, the family includes alternates, superscript, subscript, ligatures, an arrows set and seven styles of numerals.

Classification

Designed with an explicit geometric and rational character inspired by Swiss and German typographic tradition, placing it squarely in the geometric sans-serif subcategory.
