About
Inspired by Władysław Strzemiński's Alphabet a.r. and pre-war Warsaw's multiscript typographic culture, Polin draws on circular geometric forms adapted sensitively for each script it covers. The Hebrew was led by Ben Nathan, informed by the Idźkowski & Sk-a foundry's Jaffa typeface, while the Cyrillic takes its cues from open-form Bulgarian variants applied to classical letterforms. Twenty styles run from Hairline to Black with matching italics, making this as much a historical document as a working type family.
