Sharik Sans specimen from Capitalics

A nine-weight humanist sans by Michał Jarociński with calligraphic detailing that becomes most apparent at display sizes.

About

Designed by Michał Jarociński and named after a dog character from a favourite TV series, Sharik Sans is a humanist sans with subtle calligraphic touches in its terminals and details. The family spans nine weights from Thin to Black, each with a matching italic, for a total of 18 styles. OpenType features include small capitals, a wide range of numeral styles, fractions, ordinals, alternates and ligatures, and the family is intended to complement Jarociński's serif-influenced typeface Clavo.

Classification

Described as a sans serif with a calligrapher's touch in its subtle details and endings, placing it firmly in the humanist sans tradition where pen-drawn influences inform letterform construction.
