Spirala
Capitalics · Mateusz Machalski, Karol Mularczyk, Malgorzata Bartosik, Borys Kosmynka

An experimental display typeface that merges chamfered-nib calligraphic references with stencil construction and Bézier curve exploration across four weights with matching italics.
About
Designed under the creative direction of Mateusz Machalski, Spirala pushes the geometry of Bézier curves while referencing the marks of a chamfered calligraphic nib. Its stencil-style construction, with deliberately divided stroke elements, lends a dynamic rhythm that can carry into text setting as well as display use. The family runs across Regular, Medium, SemiBold and Bold, each with a complementary italic.
Classification
Spirala is categorised as display due to its experimental exploration of Bézier curves and stencil-style construction; though usable in text setting, its chamfered-nib calligraphic allusions and divided elements mark it as a display-oriented design.
