Based on the Hohenzollern letter style first published in the 1909 Schriften Atlas, this face occupies a distinctive territory between traditional blackletter and art nouveau. Jason Carne extended the original 26-character specimen into a full working family with 380+ glyphs per style, custom diacritics, currency symbols and punctuation across nine weights. The result is a century-old aesthetic made practically usable for contemporary display work.
