Jason Carne reworked Weeks's original engraved blackface roman, softening some triangular serifs and adding weight to the lighter strokes to reduce the most extreme contrast points of the source material. The family ships in three variants, Regular, Inline and Shadow, with over 400 glyphs covering punctuation, fractions, six currency symbols, catchwords and diacritical marks for 75+ Latin-based languages. Best suited to heavy headline, packaging and print work where the weight and historical register of American currency lettering is the point.
