About
Drawing on two specific historical sources, Fleischman's 1756 Dubbelde Descendiaan Geschreven Schrift and Rosart's c.1760 Double Descendiaan, Casali synthesised a style rather than reviving a single typeface. Lowercase letters remain deliberately unjoined, turning a metal-type limitation into a defining characteristic, while the capitals carry Barbedor's signature thin-stemmed duty line also adopted by Bodoni. OpenType contextual alternates, historical forms and swash variants allow the typeface to behave dynamically in branding, packaging and display settings.
