About
A condensed display family by Miguel Reyes, designed between 2016 and 2019 for W, the large format fashion magazine, at the request of creative director Cian Browne and art director Jeffrey Burch. Ayer Deck is a low contrast sans with gentle flaring; Ayer sits at higher contrast for use from around 60pt or for knocking heads out of dark backgrounds; Ayer Poster carries the extreme high contrast typical of fashion typefaces, with three further italic options: a chaotically beautiful Cursive with full swash capitals, the sharply stylish Angular, and Miguel's decidedly non-traditional take on Blackletter.
