A stencil serif by Paul Barnes and Ben Kiel, with Ilya Ruderman, that takes Renaissance letterform structure and applies a stencil cut inspired by worn gravestones and shipping crate lettering. The companion Dala Moa carries the same idea into a sans, and the later Dala Prisma adds dramatic tapering for very large display sizes only. The elegance of the forms belies their everyday vernacular origins, making the family especially well suited to headlines and logotypes.
