Eugenio Serif Collection
Commercial Type · Miguel Reyes

A softened Bodoni revival by Miguel Reyes drawn for La Repubblica, with rounded corners and phototype warmth across three subfamilies.
About
A modern serif by Miguel Reyes with Hrvoje Zivcic, drawn for Francesco Franchi's redesign of La Repubblica and still the primary headline face after the paper's reworking. Though fairly faithful to Bodoni, the softness of the serifs and subtly rounded corners lend it warmth, recalling phototype rather than crisp digital letterforms. Reyes referenced 16pt and 24pt specimens from a facsimile of Giambattista Bodoni's 1818 Manuale Typographico. Splits into Poster and standard cuts plus a companion Eugenia for very large display sizes.
