Graphik Hebrew
Commercial Type · Yanek Iontef, Daniel Grumer · 2019

Yanek Iontef and Daniel Grumer's Hebrew companion to Graphik, translating the vanilla concept into a script with no native grotesk tradition.
About
A Hebrew companion to Graphik by Yanek Iontef and Daniel Grumer. Hebrew has no equivalent to the grotesk genre, so the designers took Graphik's stripped-down, plain approach and added the sharp corners seen on characters like Z and 2 to give the script its own texture. Nine weights with matching italics line up with the Latin Graphik, suiting editorial brands and publications working across Hebrew and Latin.
Classification
Commercial Type frame Graphik Hebrew as Yanek Iontef and Daniel Grumer's extension of Graphik's vanilla concept to Hebrew, a script with no equivalent grotesk genre, using stripped-down construction with sharp corners that echo characters like Z and 2.
