Graphik Tamil specimen from Commercial Type

A Tamil companion to Graphik, translating Schwartz's mid-century sans into a calm, plain Tamil for editorial and brand work.

About

A Tamil extension of Commercial Type's Graphik system, designed by Hitesh (Rocky) Malaviya with creative direction from Shiva Nallaperumal at November. Nine weights run from Thin and Extralight up to Black and Super alongside a matching Latin, giving designers the same plain, mid-century voice across scripts. Suits global identity, editorial and publishing systems where Tamil needs to sit confidently next to Graphik in Latin.

Classification

Commercial Type position Graphik Tamil as a Tamil companion to Christian Schwartz's Graphik (2009), a sans inspired by lesser-known mid-century types that sits between geometric round bowls and European grotesk proportions. Hitesh (Rocky) Malaviya designed the Tamil with creative direction from Shiva Nallaperumal at November.
