An editorial slab serif designed by Paul Barnes and Christian Schwartz for Mark Porter's redesign of the Guardian newspaper, with help from Panagiotis Haratzopoulos and Ilya Ruderman on the Greek and Cyrillic. Guardian Egyptian sits in two optical sizes, Headline and Text, with weights running from Hairline through to Black with matching italics. Built to cover everything from serious news headlines to expressive features and long-form text, and pairs natively with Guardian Sans and Guardian Agate.
